Anyone have a ducted mini-split in their place?

I am trying to find someone who has a ducted mini-split in their place to find out their experience. I'm looking at the 3 ton Carrier 38MBRB/40MBAA which per the ratings has about 10,000 btuh more output at 17F than a standard heat pump (~25,000 btuh versus ~15,000 btuh). I would appreciate knowing if indeed a ducted mini-split was able to heat their place at significantly lower temperatures than a standard heat pump, if it went into defrost cycle frequently, if aux heat came on frequently, etc..
