I am planning to replace my single stage HVAC system with 2 stage furnace and 2 stage AC.
House has three zones including the basement controlled by dampers.
I would like use the existing Nest thermostats with the new system.
However I see only five wires in the thermostat cable,
According to what I read the wire needs to be connected to the W2 of the thermostat.
Do I have to get a new cable with 6 wires run to each thermostat to have the 2 stage equipment working properly?
