Hope you guys are having a great weekend and enjoying some really good football. I'm having trouble finding information on this furnace closet louvered door. Utility closet is located in a bedroom hallway. The unit is a brand new fan induced Goodman and is drawing in combustion air from both the attic through the large opening in the closet ceiling around the plenum and it's also drawing in a large volume of indoor air through the closet louvered door? It's this considered a safety and health concern due to the potential for incomplete combustion? Should the door be a solid core door that is completely sealed with weather stripping /gasket? Your thoughts are appreciated as this home is to be converted into assisted living. Thanks ahead of time!
