Hi all,
We live in a single store, 2,800 sqft house with a WT5680HWA Trane system installed. After noticing a discomfort in the house, we noticed the humidity was pretty high, and since the house was under warrant, we had the builder to take a look on it, and they brought the HVAC contractor to check it. The HAVC contractor told us "everything was fine with the HVAC system", and although dehumidification was a sub-product of the HVAC, their responsibility was to control temperature, and the only way to control humidity, was to install a whole-house dehumidifier.
We had Aprilaire E130 installed, but the humidity is not coming down, it stays at 60-65% RH, below what it was, but still high. We had the HVAC company that installed the dehumidifier in many times, but so far, they could not figure that out.
The way the dehumidifier was installed is in accordance to the "Alternate Basement Installation" option from the manual, meaning they hooked the return of the dehumidified to the return duct of the A/C, and the supply of the dehumidifier is also connected to the supply of the A/C.
Thank Y'all in advance!
