Hello Everyone.
I am new to the site and looking for some help if possible. I have acquired a Manitowoc SY0304A ice machine from a buddy's work place that has been sitting for a couple of months. I have read the manuals and different cycles these go through and have some questions to figure out my problem. The machine turns on, purges water, fills water tray, runs water over evaporator, and the compressor hums along like i think it should. I have only let it run for 30 minutes or so before cutting it off. Nothing seemed to get cold were the water was running. I kept putting my hand on the evaporator and just room temp water from the garden hose. I also noticed that the condenser fan does not come on within these 30 minutes. Not sure if that is an issue or not. I got a buddy that has some gauges and plans to hook onto it in the next 2 weeks to see if the gas level is were it should be but I am anxious. Any info would be helpful. I noticed a couple small water leaks but nothing major. I want to make sure it makes ice before I fix these little things.
