I am aware the contractor is more important than the name, but this contractor highly recommended a Brand they just starting installing called Greer Flex , I have never heard of this brand but did look them up and they claim to be one of the world's largest. I currently have a 2 ton paired with a 50k gas furnace. The contractor is quoting a 3 ton outdoor heat pump which can be configured as a 2 ton , the gas furnace would be the backup heat however the furnace quoted is not a variable speed, only an ECM motor, I have concerns about the brand and also being paired with an ECM and not a variable speed as I always have thought that an inverter heat pump would have to be paired with a variable speed furnace/air handler. Thoughts on this brand and the furnace pairing ?????
