Yesterday, we had a water leak, in our attic, where our air handler is. Came thru the ceiling as it has before.
Now, when I went up to mop up, I could see no active leak, pan was bone dry. We had the roof inspected twice in the last week, because were selling, neither inspector found leaks - and they were looking. And any leak would almost certainly have hit the A/C unit too, of which theres no evidence.
The floor downstairs was dry when my wife left for work at 7, I found water on the floor around 11.
Now, in between these times, around 9 or so, the local power company came and replaced my meter, which cut out all power for a minute or two, no longer.
Is there any way that that could have caused water to be dumped? We have a pump system for the evaporation, where the water collects in a small tank then gets pumed when its full (thats working) - what if that was running when the power went out? Is there some backflow possible or something?
I did call my A/C company, but they couldnt see a leak so said it wasnt the A/C.
