Hello,
I had a new AC installed 2 years ago. The system would turn on, but once it stopped it would not turn back on. This only started happening when turning the heat on, AC ran fine through the summer.
The AC guys we called said we needed a new transformer, a new one was installed, it worked for 5 days. Another transformer was installed and it worked fine for only 2 days. We are now one the third one.
Upon inspection today by my husband, we noticed the jumper pins on the defrost controller board were on 60/90 AND one on Test/30, two jumper pins.
From what I could gather from the internet one jumper pin should be either on the 30/60 or 60/90, not on the test pin.
Can someone please confirm if this is correct and what timing should it be on for Phoenix, AZ?
Could this be why the unit was burning up the transformers also?
Thanks,
Tracy
