Carrier 38MAQB30R Ductless Inverter with FV4VNB003L air handler balance point

Hello,

To what lowest temperature should Carrier 38MAQB30R Ductless Inverter with FV4VNB003L variable speed air handler supply heat without need to call AUX?

Our house is located in Central Oregon, USDA Hardiness Zone 6.
It was build in built 1998, 1,844 Sq Ft., sealed ducts, well insulated house (we added insulation to the attic), windows - old, plastic, dual pane, but old and not well sealed, 3 bedrooms, bonus room, open kitchen + living room, vaulted ceiling in living room and kitchen.

We got this system in December 2020 and were expecting that it will supply enough heat even in low outside temperatures. To my surprise, it can keep up with demand ONLY to about 28 - 30F.
(I turned AUX off and at 28-30F temperature inside started to drop even though the system was running at full speed.)
I do not see any energy savings over our 23 years old single stage HSPF 7.70 Bryant.

Our installer said that it is normal, but the other Carrier installer in town told me it should do better. He installed a 2T system in a 1600sqft house nearby and they did not need AUX the whole winter.
Who should I believe?
What is your experience?

Would I get better results with other brand names (Daikon...) using a whole house air handler?

Thanks for your time, your answer will be very valuable to me and probably to many other homeowners deciding what new heat pump to get.

Best, George
