HVAC filter and purification

Folks

I live in a 100 year old which is leaky of course but I'm in the process of air sealing it. I currently have an Aprilaire 2410 and looking for something better to take out the pollen from the air I'm breathing. I suffer from bad pollen allergies only 6 weeks of the year (right now). If it matters, I have a bosch 60k furnace and a-coil in the basement serving basement & 1st floor

1) Should I buy an electronic air filter to either replace or complement the Aprilaire 2410 filter?
2) Or does it make sense to get an ionizer solution?

Any brands you can recommend would be helpful
