I have a packaged HVAC system on the roof. The first picture is not a picture of our unit but ours is set up the same with a gas shut-off valve connected to the yellow flex line. The second pic is of our actual gas valve with markings. Here's the question. Our valve says it is 1/2 psi. When I checked it out at home depot, all valves that size were for inside use only. The ball valves rated for outside use were all over 125 psi.
I'm kind of confused. I'm not an expert on valves or gas lines. Maybe I am missing something here. Has anyone installed these before or know the correct type of valve to have on an unit such as ours?
I talked to one plumber who works on gas and he didn't want to say because he didn't know about HVAC stuff. I must be getting something wrong. Maybe someone can set me straight.
Thanks for any help you might give.
