So watching videos, seeing it on this Old House, Matt Risinger, etc this seems to be an option for duct sealing for older homes.
But coming to ask, does it actually work the way they claim.
My house was precode before they said all duct seams need to be sealed, so I have leakage I assume. How much, not sure. If sealing the seams in my furnace room with alumnimum tape is any indication, probably a lot.
But my quote for my house was $3000, due to the 6 hour travel time round trip for the installer.
Im all for making things work better, but the 3K price tag is pretty hefty. I know many say that the leaky ducts is still allowing the heat/cool into your house. But does it help with air flow to farther ducts, etc.
Who has experience with this stuff.
