New but tarnished copper pipe

Hi Folks,

I have a mini split 'kit' which came with copper line sets. The line sets were capped with plastic plugs, but the kit sat idle for over a year as construction had been put on hold. Now that the unit is ready to be installed I removed the plastic plugs to inspect the copper flare ends. I saw that both the outsides and the insides of the pipes appear tarnished / blackened. The flares look ok, but I am prepared to clean and re-flare the ends if needed. My concern is with the tarnish on the insides of the pipe - and if it can cause compressor damage or valve clogging. The unit will be professionally installed with a triple evac, but I am wondering if the tarnish/residue on the insides of the pipe will be a problem. The lines have already been run inside walls, so replacement is not ideal. If the tarnish is a problem, can the lines be flushed, or do they absolutely need to be replaced?

Thanks very much,
Jack
