I am in the same boat as another recent poster (in need of knowing how to find someone well versed in duct design).
I have this same issue as they have, also in Florida, Pinellas County. It seems impossible to find anyone with duct design training. I looked at the links Dean provided and of the couple of contractors who came up they all get some pretty reviews. My job will require opening up the roof to replace the ductwork due to my very, very low roof pitch. Before doing that I need to be absolutely certain the design is right. I’m not looking for cheap. I’m looking for someone who actually knows what they’re recommending is correct. We have a lot of marginally trained folks in the HVAC industry in Florida. Having several dozen houses I have seen so many costly mistakes. It is very frustrating.
