I have a 6 year old Trane all Electric heat pump works really well till gets in teens then on defrost has 3 times now sensed low pressure and shut down condenser goes to all resistance heating first time a 5 amp fuse since then can just shut system down or remove fuse and it resets if home I can do that but 2 years ago did it while on vacation, and yesterday did it on a 35* day didn't know till next day. I have had 2 different techs out checked line charge and other things can't find anything wrong both suggested last resort to jumper the around it any good ideas leaning that direction doesn't happen often but real bad if you're gone? How often does it do a defrost and does system shut down for awhile after, ? last night single digits woke at 3 am not on got up at 6 thermostat set at 71 actual temp 69 so resistance came on like it should but shouldn't have waited that long to come on Defrost Cycle?
