Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some guidance :) - I just installed the following two Senville 18k BTU units:
1) Senville 18k BTU SENA-18HF/Z Mini Split Air Conditioner and Heat Pump
--This single unit is installed in the living room and works flawlessly.
2) Senville SENA-18MO-209 18k BTU Dual Zone Split Air Conditioner and Heat Pump
--This is a dual unit, one indoor unit is in the master bedroom (MBr) and the other is in the guest bedroom (GBr).
Issue: The MBr unit turns on but it doesn't get the heat going unless the GBr unit is also on. If both are on and running full blast (set to 86 degrees) and I turn off the GBr unit, then the MBr unit eventually cools down and pretty much stops. It will still let a tiny amount of heat in but with no real air pressure. Sometimes if I try to run the MBr unit alone, I'll get a "P6" error code but it goes away after a minute or so. I believe this is the code for low refrigerant, however, I had a tech out to the house today and he confirmed pressure in the system is good.
I'm thinking this has something to do with an electrical issue where the MBr unit isn't telling the compressor to turn on and therefore only works when the GBr unit turns the compressor on first (at the same time). I double checked all wiring and everything looks correct.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sean
