I recently moved to North Carolina from West coast and it feels like humidity is too high inside house. Its around 60% during the day, 65% at night this time of year. I'm thinking that the main source of the humidity is ventilation. I did experiments like drying the house using portable dehumidifier and turning ventilation off at night and there wasn't much humidity inside house in the morning compare to when ventilation runs normally at night. I have Aprilaire Fresh Air Ventilator - Model 8144NC installed in the attic. I guess it runs every hour. Could you please tell does it make sense to replace 8144NC with the dehumidifying ventilation like Aprilaire Model 8192 or better to install the whole house Dehumidifier?
