York diamond 80 with rusted apart inducers

This is the second day in a row where I have encountered a York diamond 80 with an inducer that literally had the squirrel cage rust into dust. the flue pipe is rusty on the 2nd house and on the house yesterday I can tell it was all redone. The interiors of both of these furnaces are rusty as hell. I had to really go to town on the burners to get them to be clean again, I probably should have just replaced them all instead of wasting so much time trying to improve claptrap burners. Both of these furnaces had rust dust all over the inside of the furnaces, and I had to use the shop vac to clean them out. I encountered a third york diamond 80 yesterday of the same vintage where it was squeaky clean inside, so I have a feeling this is more of an ownership issue rather than a model-specific defect. What sort of neglect or bad install work would cause these scenarios? I am specifically interested in why the inducers in both of these furnaces literally had vaporized into dust.
