Hey guys,
I own a 4 zone Blueridge BM36M23C mini split system. And recently it started to cool very poorly, which I'm pretty sure it is because of low refrigerant because
I did find a small leak on one of the flares. The leak was pretty damn small but I'm sure running for last 3 months it was enough.
Plus my two AC lines that are connected are freezing over and I'm seeing freezing on the coils on the indoor units.
Now I know I'm going to have to purge the line set that had a leak on it for sure and I do have a 25LBS bottle of R410a.
My manifold, gauges and vacuum pump should be here sometime Monday so I will be able to at least check my compressor PSI purge my lines
and refill them with extra refrigerant based on their length.
However, I do have a question, if I am low on refrigerant shouldn't the supply line to the other 4 also be freezing over? Please see attached pictures as to what I mean.
And if I do want to add refrigerant to my over all unit, would I do it at the main schrader valve on top or just add through lowest one on the unit?
Thank you in advance for the information.
Maciej.
