Compressor Model: Copeland ZR61K3-PFV
Hello guys, just seeking some advice...my a/c recently started to trip the breaker immediately, so I called an a/c tech, they came by and said that the compressor was grounded and I need a new a/c system (The tech only tested the fuses, nothing else).
Today I used a multimeter and tested the resistance and continuity. On the continuity test, I grounded meter to a sanded copper pipe section and tested each prong on the compressor and no beeps on the meter.
On the resistance test. C to Start was 0.8 to 0.9, C to Run 0.5-0.6, Start to Run 1.3. The factory winding resistance for Start is 0.654 and Run is 0.355
So my question is, does it appear my compressor is dead? or is something else tripped the breaker? if so, what else can it be? thank you
