Hi,
I have this Thermostat on a Lennox MMDA018S4 ducted indoor unit attic installed 18,000 btu unit supplying 4 bedrooms. It has a power button (Top Right) and an LED beside it (on/off) yesterday the attic unit failed to run for more than ~4 minutes before tripping off. I could only get it to restart by resetting the main power breaker at my panel. Again it ran for about 4 minutes then shut down, but the LED light now stays on and will not go out, when I push the power button the display looks like it's starting/stopping but nothing happens (LED on steady) and I can only get it to start with a main breaker reset. Wondering if the opinion is trouble with the T-stat or the attic unit?
Notes
1. The LED looks like it is going dim and bright again but is so faint you can't tell unless you look very closely (when there is a disagreement on the t-stat the LED blinks on and off rapidly (not what's happening)
2. This is a 5 wire connector should I buy a new thermostat (same type) which I don't like as it's not programmable, or try another t-stat (advice on what type would be helpful)
3. This model has a follow me mode which I need to use regularly do I need a T-stat with the same function?
4. Any opinion or experience with these units would be helpful, it controls a Lennox MMDA018S4 ducted indoor unit
Thank You
