Is it worth the price to go from just a furnace to the whole group of furnace, AC and heatpump? We would not choose the furnace and AC option but if I knew when I'd break even approximately, I might consider the whole group. Small, 1100 sq ft ranch. the thumb area of Michigan. Furnace is X, add AC for 90% more (about) or the whole thing for 120% more. Is it worth it? We're in our late 60s and will probably keep the house at least another 10 years.
