HI,
I just had a Cannier AC and furnace installed. Originally it was suppose to be a 80k BTU 59TP with a 2tone 24ACC6 AC. The AC was much larger than originally told so they dropped it to the a 2T 24K BTU 24ABB3 model and the furnace to a 60k BTU 59TP6.
All the furnace BTU calculators I look at say for 1700 sf home, 2 story, it should be 75k BTU furnace. Questions, other than the furnace running longer (using more power, gas and possibly not able to heat the home completely). Any issues here? Some people say for Southern Ontario it should be fine but I'm wondering myself. I took all the formulas and ran the numbers and 75k seems consistent.
Thoughts on why they would use 60k? My old furnace was 75k but single stage vs this two stage.
