Background: I have a home warranty that replaced the old 5-ton unit in my home.
When they installed the new R-410a coil/compressor, the coil was substantially taller than the old coil (ballpark 8" taller). Currently, there is a large leak behind it from their poorly manufactured plenum (2" gap on one side tapering to no gap), but I also wanted to get some thoughts and/or opinions on if I should be concerned about the airflow/performance of how they have it connected.
How should this have been connected, and are there any long-term concerns of how they have connected it?
