Condensation on furnace for a new 5 ton 2 stage ac

We got a new rheem 5 ton 2 stage ac and new coils installed. (3000 sq ft)
The old system was a 5 ton 1 stage ac. The existing furnace is a Lennox 2 stage variable speed. (Furnace did not get replaced)
Our system is set up with 3 zones... 1st in the master bedroom, 2nd in the game room, 3rd the rest of the house. (This was all set up from the previous hone owners, who bought the home new from the homebuilder).
The new ac started having alot of condensation.
The tech came out and said the static pressure was low, suggested we remove the media filter and use filters in the air returns. He also disabled the zones and suggested we run the system off of one thermostat. (We never had a problem like this before the new install).
I later noticed where the new plenum connects to the furnace there were some air leaks. There was also an oil leak where the copper pipe connects to the new plenum. (Which means there is a refrigerant leak).
The tech came back out, I wanted the zones reconnected... so he did... but left the 3rd zone to the majority of the house always open and closed off our bypass. Essentially using zone 3 as the bypass. He did this because he said with the new more efficient ac there was too much cold air being sent back into the furnace and coils (it needs more warm air from the house going thru).
He also noticed the installers did not reconfigure our honeywell zone board for the new 2 stage ac (he fixed that). He also fixed the oil/refrigerant leak saying there was a pinhole leak.
Does his solution of closing off the bypass and opening zone 3 sound reasonable?
