I am wondering how reasonable it would be to adapt my air handler intake to accept larger filter media. It is a Trane TAM7 that has a 1" filter slot (20x22x1 common). It is vertical upflow, on stands in a closet with a louvered door.
Is this something that could be done fairly easily? Not looking for a complete rework type job.
If it's not feasible, does anyone know what is the best filter I could get (pet allergies) that wouldn't cause too much pressure drop?
Thanks in advance for any help!
