We have a single zone ducted HVAC system. (Bryant Evolution). Our house is two floors and the first floor is about to be totally gutted for renovations. This means lots of dust and shit flying everywhere. Its also summer and we have a newborn baby so we will be wanting to keep the A/C running since well be confined upstairs and it can get quite warm without the air running
Should we do anything with the vents on the first floor where renovations are happening? Like close the damper for them or perhaps place a filter like this over them?

Or am I worrying about nothing? The returns are located far away from where the renovations are happening if that matters
