Was doing a quick check on the AC unit on the house we recently bought, and noticed this:
The wires to the start capacitor are fine, but the ones to the capacitor being used as the run capacitor are burned, and one wire has melted off. But the AC is still working .:.
I want to understand if its just the capacitor that needs replaced, along with the wiring? Or is the unit just getting old and the compressor is drawing too much current and thus the same thing will happen again.
