Econet Zoning System

Does anyone here have any experience with the Econet Zoning system? From what I have read in the manual, installation instructions, etc. it seems like the most sophisticated communicating zoning system I have seen. If anyone is familiar with this system, I had a few questions:

- Is the system reliable or any reasons to avoid it?
- Does it require the EWC dampers? It mentions a lot of damper stepping for automated air flow/static pressure measurements. I would assume this requires special stepping dampers and not traditional open/close.
- It appears all the t-stats are connected to the communication bus using 4-wires. Is that correct?
- Can the system call for 1st and 2nd stage when a single zone is calling?

I was really put off of communicating zoning systems based on my Lennox iHarmony zoning system. It has been a real disappointment and seems like a step backwards from standalone control systems for the most part. I'm trying to figure out what I would like to replace it with when it comes time for a new system.
