This is right on the edge of residential but not quite commercial.
My hunting club is getting ready to replace the rusting lineup of refrigerators in the caretakers' house. They cook for the members and require a lot of refrigerator space. One of the members that's a general contractor offered to build a walk-in cooler instead of replacing the refrigerators. That would also free up some room in the kitchen. We've decided to move forward with that. The contractor is donating his time and most of the materials. He has built a couple of these, but he's not a refrigeration contractor. He suggested to keep costs down that he use a CoolBot Controller that turns a few specific window ACs into a refrigeration unit for a walk-in cooler. I read the material and it sounds convincing but it feels like we're cheaping out and I'm not sure if the cooling unit is the place to save a few dollars. Any experience with this product, what do you think?
