I had a local company come to give me an estimate for a new AC and Furnace yesterday. Their website and truck logos suggest they carry Rheem equipment. The salesperson said they no longer install Rheem and that they don't adhere to one brand for their installs. Instead they will install any brand but almost always install equipment from Armstrong. But then said they will take off the Armstrong badges and put their own badge on the equipment. I have never heard of a company doing this before. What are your thoughts regarding this practice? Is this common?
Their warranty for equipment is 10years plus a 10 year labor warranty.
