I am in the beginning phase of replacing my 4T A/C unit. For comfort reasons I am considering a two stage A/C unit. This could save me some money also in that it would allow me to better manage my Time of Day electric rates. Before I spend time and energies on the process I would like to know about the reliability and repair costs of two stage A/C units
I know they are more complex and thus have more probability of needing repairs. What I dont know is should this be a major consideration. Are repairs over say a 10 yr period likely to be significantly more expensive? I expect to live in this house for 8-10 more years
