Hi,
I recently installed a Trane XV19, a modulating heat-pump, at my house, which is very nice and quiet. However, I am wondering why the thermostat shows it as a two-stage unit. Attached is a screenshot from Tranehome thermostat history.
Does the Trane modulating unit work as a two-stage unit? Or, is it just a way that describes the status of the operation mode? I assume that they would modulate, say, from 35% to 100% on a 1% increment, but it doesn't seem to work that way. The thermostat setting seems fine, as shown attached. Please help me better understand how this top-of-the-line heat pump works. Thanks!
