Hey all. This is my first post. I'm not looking for DIY advice, but the HVAC company I used to install my system has been worthless recently, and I'm hoping someone here might have an idea I can give them.
Here's the back story. Last summer, my four year old HVAC system air handler literally melted the float switch. Just blew it up / melted it. The pan was completely dry. It also tripped the breaker (no surprise). Well, they came out and replaced the switch. They insisted there were no other issues and that nothing prompted the switch to fry. I was skeptical that the switch just died like that for no reason, but whatever. Well, about four months later, the breaker tripped. I called them. They came out, and again insisted there were no problems. Well, now we're at the point the breaker is tripping every few days. In the past two weeks I have had them out and each time they can't find a cause. Another tech is coming tomorrow! I replaced the breaker about a month ago so I know that's not the cause. I know it's a hazard as-is, but I don't know what else to do.
Anyone have any ideas hat I can pass on to the clown techs they are sending to my house. They are clueless! But to get the warranty work, I need to go through the company that installed it, so for now my hands are kind of tied.
Thank you in advance!
