Comfortbridge with an older ac unit

Have installed a new Goodman modulation propane furnace also using the comfortNet stat for monitoring while we are away. According to the manual terminal Y and G are used with non communicating outdoor unit. When on the blower only runs at 440 CFM and no compressor. I can also monitor everything from my phone and shows no Y terminal on. Could this be because my ac unit has no 24 volt power supply? And I looking at buying a new communicating ac unit to be compatible?
