Hey guys, Im concerned my new unit may be short cycling. In the cooler part of the day its only running for about 8 mins and then meeting setpoint and shutting off for 8-10 mins. In the warmer part of the day, itll run for 10-12 mins and rest for 8 mins or so. I also dont think its running long enough to remove enough humidity, I live in central Florida and the humidity inside is staying consistently between 65-70%. I already had my service tech turn the fan speed on the evap unit to low, it still blasts air into the space. I know he slightly oversized me to a 2.5 ton in an 1100 sq foot home saying it was because the home is older. Would you guys be worried about those cycle times? Would that likely be why the humidity is staying high? I know I could use a bit more insulation in the attic but its not horrible. House is sealed up tight, no major leaks around windows or doors.
