Hi
new member here.
I've got a TRANE Series 7 Heat Pump that's 9 yrs old. Recently when temps dropped below 20oF and I switched the thermostat to Emergency Heat, but there was no heat. It hadn't been on Emergency Heat since last year. I checked the status LED's on indoor unit and saw the Fault (red) LED flashing. I powered the unit down and back up and the Emergency Heat came on and no more red flashes.
My installer's technician checked it out and said everything was working normally and it seems to be, but I didn't see them try to read any stored codes out of the system.
The number of flashes on system indicated there was a fault on the Heater Board. The stored fault codes of the Heater Board showed:
One - "Cycling limit (CTCO) open" code
Three - "Heat relay stuck closed codes"
My question is, should I just keep using HVAC as is or ask the installer to specifically check or replace one or both of the above items?
Thanks
