New member trying to follow guidelines...thank you for accepting me!
Had my new Carrier unit with Cor thermostat installed in August. Everything working fine so far.
My question is this. If I set my desired humidity levels to 55%, my desired heat on temperature to 68 and cool on temp at 78, is it normal for the humidifier to never turn on if the inside house temp ranges between those temperature set points? Ex: here in central Fl outside temps around 60 and damp, inside temp about 70 and inside humidity between 59-61. House feels comfortable to me but just wondering if that dehumidifier only functions when the A/C unit actually kicks on and not when heat is on or system not running. My system has not turned on in days so I guess good for the electrical bill but just didn’t know if that was normal. Thanks again for any advice.
