I have a Trane XV95 heater that is displaying 3 red lights when it first starts up and continues flashing during the entire heating cycle. I had a tech come out and after checking the system he determined that the controller board needed to be replaced. His reasoning was that the voltages needing to go to stage 2 was not sufficient. I also have a Air Effects system that was unplugged with all the filters taken out so I could use a 3M filter for the house. I decided to take the 3M filter out and put the Air Effects system back in use. What is happening now is that I still get the 3 red lights but near the end of the heating cycle the 2nd stage kicks in and the lights go out. I am still waiting on the repair quote but I really don't want to replace the board. Any ideas why the system would act this way. Thanks.
