Hello all!
I have been hard at work in the past few weeks to collect as much bids as I can to replace my limping furnace + AC. Given that it is almost 20 years old. I thought this might be the right time to do it. I have received more than 8 bids so far and I have narrowed my choices to these three below. FYI - I am located in the greater Seattle area (WA) where weather is relatively mild all year around.
Option 1 - Daikin
3 Ton Inverter VRV heat pump - Model# RXTQ36TAVJU
3 Ton VRV air handler with variable speed fan motor - Model# FXTQ36TAVJUA
10 years parts / 5 years labor warranty included
Option 2 - Mitsubishi
SUZKA36NAHZ Hyper Heat
SVZKP36NA Air handler
12 years parts / 2 years labor warranty included
Option 3 - Bosch / Day & Night (Dual-fuel)
Bosch 3 Ton 18 Seer Inverter Heat Pump - Model #BOVB36
Day & Night 96% 2 stage furnace / bariable speed fan
Price wise, Option 3 is cheaper than Option 2 (Daikin). Option 1 (Mitsubishi) is the most costly option by about a grand.
Given my above 3 choices, what would be your top pick? I believe either Daikin & Mitsubishi is efficient to handle all temperature swing in my area. Is it as comfortable as people say?
Lastly, I noticed people get better deals on Daikin vs Mitsubishi. Is it because equipment costs are much higher on the latter? Do you think it's worth paying extra to go Mitsubishi?
Right now, I am leaning towards either option 1 or 2 but I am still unsure Mitsubishi is worth the extra cost with a shorter labor warranty. There seems to be more people praising Misubishi vs Daikin however and it has a quieter compressor.
Any input is welcome! Thanks for the help in advance.
