Hi. We recently had to have the capacitor and fan motor replaced in our Goodman outdoor HVAC unit. We have a service contract with a good company here in Atlanta, but I was surprised at what they charged me to replace the condensor fan motor. When I researched costs online, prices ranged from $300 to $600 for the part and installation. My cost was $900 just for the condensor fan motor and installation, not including the capacitor. What I want to know from the community is if you think this is an exceptionally high charge for that. I've contacted the company and their comment is that they stand behind their work and that they hire the best in the industry and pay them good wages for quality work. I am in nooooo way trying to be cheap here, just want to know if this charge is reasonable. Your comments are welcome.
