Can I have my whole-home humidifier relocated to go in the space between the return air drop and supply plenum of the furnace? I would like to have it mounted on the inside surface of the return drop. I have a picture, but I don’t think I am allowed to post it as a new member.
Reason being to save space in our poorly laid out utility/laundry room. Currently the humidifier is hanging off the side of the return drop and obstructing the path to/from the doorway.
From my limited understanding there would be effectively no difference performance wise, other than making it more difficult to service and possibly to use the control knob... thoughts?
