I have a Santa Fe Classic Dehumidifier that's about 2 years old that's acting up.
The compressor will kick on for a minute or so when it initially is turned on from the off position using the pot then will kick off. The fan operations is set to auto so the fan should not run unless the humidistat is calling for the compressor be one. The fan will continue to run and run and run but the compressor will not kick back on.
If I turn the pot back down so the fan turns off then back up again the compressor does not turn back on briefly.
The initial compressor run occurs only if the unit is left unplugged for a significant amount of time (maybe allowing for a capacitor to discharge?).
Any suggestions on if it is worth getting fixed?
