Hi guys.
I have some airflow and velocity questions. I am having my 5 year old builder grade equipment changed from a Goodman gmss96 with 15.5 adp coil out for a Keeprite 96VTN with Keeprite cases N coil.
Static pressure of the system is too much and their is 0.325 of static pressure from the coil and remainder of system and 0.093 static for the supply side after the coil and these are dry numbers and not wet. I am also having the dead end drop boot relaxed to a radius. Total static was 0.67 on medium fan which is about 908 cfm.
My question about the coil restriction and system performance is this: once the 17 cased N coil is in place and no longer having a huge restriction, will velocity and branch run performance drastically improve ?
The plenum I have is 16.5 wide or so and I have 20x8 supply into a 16x8 supply and 22x8 return into an 18x8 return; as I made the builder Hvac contractor replace the whole system in the basement.
