Taco ZVC-404 and Burnham boiler. 4 zone radiant floor system.
I installed a Taco iSeries mixing valve to control water temp a year or two ago. It uses outdoor temp to adjust water temp.
Where can I tie into 24v to power the valve that is only on when a thermostat is calling for heat?
I had it wired to a constant 24v source, which worked fine, but the valve is constantly running, even if heat isn't needed like in the summer.
I thought about a 120v to 24v transformer taped off the circulator pump power. It only comes on when there's a call for heat.
Not sure that's the correct way to do it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
