What are the pros and cons to humidification control/measuring from an in-room thermostat vs using a dedicated humidistat that is located on the return duct and does the humidity measurement in the return air?
I would have assumed that taking in-room measurements would lead to more accurate results but it seems a lot of HVAC folks really like measuring in the return duct. Thanks for any help/education that can be provided.
