Amana AMEC96 Front Cover Pressure Switch

Hi everyone:

A little background info if you don't mind:

I have an Amana furnace AMEC96. It had been attempting to ignite 3 times, failed, then code turning 7 segment display red. But the odd part was it sometime worked either with first attempt or third attempt during the day. And I noticed it had been failing most of the time around

midnight or early morning. But during the day it worked but sometimes failed as same above. The first licensed technician came in, changed the gas valve, and it worked when he was there (always like that with his three-time visits), but the problem remained at midnight on the same

day. The second technician came in and said he knew what the problem was right the way, had something to do with the low pressure switch, which marks -0.10 PF and he called it Front Cover pressure switch. And he said the part was redundant and manufacturer recommended to

bypass it if there was problem related. So he cut the wires and nutted them together, and I noticed he left the pressure switch and the tube connected with it untouched, and still mounted in the furnace as before. It has been worked till now about one week now.

The Bulletin as below:

"DATE:March 4, 2016
TO: All Service and Parts Managers
SUBJECT: E0 Lockout *MVM96 & DM96MC
If experiencing nuisance or unexplained lockout (E0 Lockout Code Displayed on 7-Segment Display) on the 40” modulating furnaces; it may be due to moisture in the front cover pressure switch tube causing the pressure switch to open.
If you experience this condition on 40” tall modulating furnace models *MVM96 & DM96MC in an up-flow application only the front cover pressure switch should be disconnected (see instructions below). The furnace still has the Induced Draft Blower Low Pressure Switch, which can shut the furnace down due to a blocked drain.
Disconnnect electrical power, then remove the wires from the front cover pressure switch and cut the spade terminal from the wires. Strip the end of the wires and wire nut the wires together.
(Refer to wiring diagram on Page 2)"

If the bulletin is legit, it mentioned model are MVM96 and DM96MC, since mine is AMEC96 Upflow.

Will there be any problem regarded to the technician's fix to my model even tho my model was not mentioned in Amana's bulletin? Will there be any safety issues and concerns?

There is a similar Thread titled " AMVM96 front cover pressure switch"in this forum, but I don't know why I'm not allowed to reply or comment to their posts so I have to create this thread, apology for any inconvenience to anyone, sorry I'm new to this forum.

Please help.

P.S.
I'm not allowed to post links here, so for the OEM's bulletin online please referring to their thread, there is a link.

Thank you all professionals' for your time and helps.

Regards,
