14 yr old r22 1- 1/2 ton condenser stopped running DF board showing high pressure lockout. Had tech out for a look he removed 24v and reset DF board and compressor ran for few minutes and stopped. Visually checked for restrictions all was good. He then connected guages added 1lb r22 and unit ran. Upon closer inspection found copper line going to txv sensing bulb had a hole in it from rubbing on itself. He quoted a price to repair which would include new txv, filter dryer and change refrigerant to m99. Is this heat pump worth saving or better to move on to something new?
