Hello all. I'll try to make it quick-
American Standard High efficiency furnace dated 5/2004 quit working on me last night. Thermostat triggers, inducer start and runs for 20-30 seconds and repeats this 3-4 times. During this time there is no igniter or gas "click".
It is showing Code 3 which indicates a pressure switch issue. I have ohmed out the switch with the furnace off and on with both results showing 0. I removed the switch, lightly blew in it while measuring ohms and did get a faint click and reading.
The inducer has always made a bearing/rattling noise on start-up since I bought the house 2 years ago. It doesn't make any more noise than it did before.. Has the bearing issue on the inducer finally gotten bad enough to effect the pressure/switch?
Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated!
