Good day Pros!
Well, my heat pump turned into a block of ice and doesn't appear to be going into defrost.
Pulled out the garden hose and fully defrosted the coil.
York Affinity YZB04211A
YorkGuard VI board
Coil sensor: 62.5 kOhm (10°F)
Outdoor sensor: 47.4 kOhm (19°F)
Ambient: 21°F
Fault code is steady green, 4 red flashes. IOM states: O Signal Received in AC Mode.
I have recently noticed (maybe it's always done it) that the defrost shift seems to make an unholy screech.
Unit goes smoothly into A/C and Heating modes.
Jumping the Test pins doesn't force defrost.
I can't believe it's so difficult to find a qualified tech that can troubleshoot. Do I have the control board replaced?
